National Youth Week Capacity Building Workshop

Following the success of the 2014 Take Charge Riverina Youth Leadership Forum and Dinner, the NSW Government is partnering with the Riverina Eastern Regional Organisation of Councils (REROC) to provide young leaders in the Riverina with skills, knowledge and resources that will assist them to plan and implement effective community projects and events, and maximise the positive impact of National Youth Week events in their local communities.

Additionally, the essential management skills taught in this workshop can be applied in an ongoing capacity in their school community, workplace or community group. Attendees will have the opportunity to apply what they learn to a real project idea.

The workshop will be facilitated by Meredith Turnbull who has over 17 years’ experience in the community, health and social change sectors of Australia.

REROC and your local Council are seeking interested youth to participate in the National Youth Week Capacity Building Workshop, to be held in Wagga Wagga on Wednesday, December 3, 2014. Priority will be given to those young people who attended the Take Charge Riverina Youth Leadership Forum in August. There is no cost to be involved in the workshop, and lunch will be provided.

If you would like to participate, please contact REROC’s Youth and Communities contact, Kylie Dunstan on kdunstan@reroc.com.au or 0437 863 426.
