Riverina Spatial Information Group
The Riverina Spatial Information Group (RivSIG) was formed to support professionals working in the area of spatial technology in the Riverina region. The group includes members from the eastern and western Riverina region who work within local government, state agencies and government departments as well as private enterprise. RivSIG is auspiced by REROC.
The objectives of the group are:
- to provide a forum for professional development in spatial information
- to promote and improve avenues for sourcing spatial data
- to increase awareness of careers in spatial information
- to lobby for improved resources from government bodies to assist with these objectives.
Meetings are held 4 times per year and are relatively informal.
Membership is open to anyone working in or who has an interest in the spatial industry. There are no joining or membership fees.
